I reckon some people don’t actually get déjà vu.
I get it quite a bit. Then it goes and I wonder why was I even thinking I thought I already experienced what I just experienced once before? Sometimes I get it on top of itself and again and again.
“I’ve had déjà vu of having déjà vu of this. Shit! Now I have déjà vu of that…”
That’s when I begin smacking myself, full fist in the side of the head.
Besides the point. What the fuck is déjà vu?

More comprehendible is jamais vu – the phenomenon whereby you fail to recognise something you are quite familiar with.
Like when you write the word “though” and doubt everything about it – its spelling, its meaning, its pronunciation.
Or presque vu; that inability to recall something you know you know only too well.
Surely the mind going completely blank is part of the ‘vus‘ family, no?
Regardless, haven’t heard this in a long time.

It’s nice, dig it out again.

I could have sworn I read this before but I can’t recall. But did you wash that CD cover before you posted it ?

I spat on it but didn’t have a cloth to wipe it off so I used my fingers. My spit was a bit chocolatey.

NEO: Whoa. Deja vu.
TRINITY: What did you just say?
NEO: Nothing. Just had a little deja vu.
TRINITY: What happened? What did you see?
NEO: A black cat went past us and then I saw another that looked just like it.
TRINITY: How much like it? Was it the same cat?
NEO: It might have been. I’m not sure. What is it?
TRINITY: A deja vu is usually a glitch in the Matrix. It happens when they change something.

No, as it happens. ‘i c e’ does not spell ‘nice’.
